What are Lash Extensions?

Lash extensions are the best artificial lash enhancement that exists today. The synthetic fibers that are used for extensions are made of PBT which is a type of polyester that is manufactured into numerous diameters, curls, and lengths for use in this industry.

how long do they last?

Lash extension retention is a team effort to keep your lashes looking their best. Proper application technique is only one aspect, proper aftercare on the part of the client is the other. Clients are asked to book fills every 2-3 weeks. It would be normal for 40-50% of the lash extensions to remain at that time.

how long do they take to apply?

A full set varies from 2 hours to 3.5 hours and fills from 1-2 hours.

how do I take care of my lashes?

It is very important to follow proper lash extension aftercare to prolong the life of your lashes. See all lash extension aftercare here.

can I get my lashes wet, and what about mascara?

It is recommended that you keep your lashes dry for the first 24 hours. You are then free to shower, swim, and wash your lashes, making sure to rinse your lashes of pool chemicals or salt water often. Be aware that hot tubs and saunas can shorten the life of your lashes due to the steam and heat. It is recommended to enjoy both for short periods of time only, and avoid if possible.

Absolutely no mascara on your lash extensions. Not only should it not be necessary, but it also creates a buildup that can be damaging to your lash investment and to your natural lashes.

I can’t decide. what is the difference between classic, hybrid, and volume?

Classic lashes involve attaching one lash extension to each of your natural lashes. Volume lashes involve attaching multiple thin and light extensions to each of your natural lashes in a V shape or ‘fan’. Hybrid lashes are a combination of the two, some of your lashes will receive one lash extension while others will receive a volume fan.

The density and impact of a lash set is directly related to how many natural lashes you have and whether they are fine or coarse. Generally speaking, Classic lashes produce a ‘mascara look’. Volume lashes produce a more dramatic effect and are highly customizable. Volume can achieve anything from a feathery ‘mascara look’, to something rivaling any strip lash on the market. Not every eye can support every look, but volume makes it much easier to give a client what they are hoping for. Hybrid is always the happy medium, providing coverage and density when needed without the drama of full volume.

Will lash extensions ruin my lashes?

No. If applied correctly with proper isolation, lash selection, and amount of glue, no damage will result from the application itself. It is the client’s responsibility to follow proper aftercare and not add mascara, pull, twist, or pick their lashes.

it’s been 4 weeks and 3 days since i was in last, is that a fill or a full set?

That is a full set. All clients are encouraged to book in advance on a 2-3 week schedule based on their needs and natural lash cycle. Any appointments past 4 weeks whether you have lashes left or not will be considered a full set.

what is a lash lift?

A lash lift is a low-maintenance lash enhancement that lifts and curls the lashes for 6-8 weeks.

How long does it take?

This is a fast procedure. The lift alone is approximately 30 minutes, and with tint, around 45 minutes.

Any aftercare that I need to know about?

Minimal aftercare is required, but the lashes do need to be kept dry for 24-48 hours after the service. No makeup until you can wash them either. See full aftercare here

Can I bring my child/partner/friend to my appointment?

No. Due to the nature of the service, no guests are permitted in the studio, including children. Please make alternate arrangements for your children during this time.

What methods of payment do you accept, and do you issue refunds on services?

Credit card, debit, cash, and etransfer are accepted. A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking on all full sets and lash lifts. No refunds on services already rendered.

What if I have a problem with my service?

Please let me know asap. If you inform me within 48 hours of the appointment, you qualify for our Customer Satisfaction Guarantee and will come back into the studio for a complimentary 30-minute appointment to address the issue.
